How it works

A simple path to print.

Clear scope, a fixed quote and a delivery date you can plan around. Here’s exactly how a project runs with Librum.

  1. 1

    Send your files

Email us your manuscript and tell us what you need — editing, print, eBook, a cover, or the whole thing — along with trim size and any references you like. Word, Google Docs, InDesign or a clean PDF all work.

No files ready yet? Just describe the project and we’ll tell you what we need.

  2. 2

    Plan, quote & timeline

We review your material and reply with a clear scope of work, a fixed quote and a delivery date. No hourly surprises — you approve before anything starts.

Most quotes go out within one business day.

  3. 3

    Production

We get to work: editing, layout, prepress, cover or ePUB conversion. You see a proof, give feedback, and we apply revisions — two rounds are included on most services.

You stay in the loop with proofs at each key stage.

  4. 4

    Final delivery

You receive final, press-ready files — interior and cover PDFs for print/POD, a validated ePUB for stores, or whatever your project called for, ready to upload.

Files built to pass KDP, IngramSpark and offset checks the first time.

Where editing fits

The text gets right before the book gets made.

If your text needs work, editing comes before layout — there’s no sense typesetting prose that’s about to change. Not sure whether you need it? A manuscript critique tells you. Then we edit, then we produce. One team, one path.

No surprises

What “fixed quote” really means.

A lot of services quote “from” a price and bill by the hour, so the real cost only appears at the end. We don’t.

A fixed quote means the number we send is the number you pay for the agreed scope. If the scope changes — you add a service, or rewrite half the book after layout — we re-quote and you approve before any extra work. You’re never surprised by an invoice. That’s the whole deal.

Questions

Good to know

What is Librum House?+

Librum House is the author-facing imprint of Librum, an established Belgrade publishing house (ID and Brothers), with 15+ years in books. We turn manuscripts into finished books for independent authors, small publishers and presses worldwide — editing, interior formatting and typesetting, print-ready PDFs, store-validated ePUB files, hand-made book covers and illustrations, and complete book-production packages. Every cover and illustration is made by hand in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

How do I start a project?+

Send your manuscript and a short note about what you need to publisher@librum.house, or use the contact form on the site. We review it and reply with a clear plan, a fixed quote and a delivery date — usually within one business day. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote.

How long does a project take?+

Most print, ePUB and cover projects take 7–14 days from the moment you approve the quote. Editing, illustration and translation depend on length and scope. Whatever the service, your exact delivery date is fixed before we start — no rolling deadlines.

How many revisions are included?+

Two revision rounds are included on most services, written into the quote so there is nothing to negotiate later. Revisions refine the work within the agreed scope; new content or a change of direction is re-quoted first.

Do you work with authors outside Serbia?+

Yes. We serve authors and publishers worldwide and communicate in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. Time zones are not a problem — most enquiries get a first reply within one business day, and files are delivered digitally.
